Debbie has been working with children, adolescents and their families for the past 20 years. She specialises in working with trauma and sexual abuse survivors across various cultural groups and religious backgrounds with the aim of breaking the abuse cycle. Debbie is the founding Director of Treehouse Innovative Families a therapeutic, residential, out-of-home-care program for children and young people who have experienced trauma, neglect and abuse. Today, Debbie focuses her time working with participants on the NDIS and supervising Core Practitioner’s team

Katie’s journey in the disability sector has taken her to various roles, including Direct Support, Service Management, Quality and Assurance and Behaviour Support. In these positions, she contributed to compliance with NDIS standards, bridging the gap for participants awaiting funding or referrals, developing strategies to support participants with complex needs, and ensuring the well-being of both staff and participants through comprehensive plans. Katie is experienced in crisis management, risk assessments, and implementing behavioural support plans.
