Therapeutic Support That Understands You.

Positive Behaviour Support Services

   Our Values

Gracious

We act with integrity, compassion, and respect in every interaction. By honouring the dignity of each individual, we foster authentic connections and build trusting, supportive relationships that create lasting positive change.

Collaborative

We believe the most meaningful outcomes are achieved together. Our support is participant-led and delivered in partnership with individuals, families, and support networks to ensure care is coordinated, empowering, and aligned with each person’s goals.

Reflective

We are committed to self-awareness, learning, and continuous improvement. By reflecting on our practice and drawing from lived experience, evidence, and feedback, we strengthen our work and ensure our support remains responsive and effective.

Accepting

We welcome people as they are, valuing individuality and lived experience. By embracing diversity and respecting personal journeys, we create inclusive spaces where everyone feels safe, heard, and genuinely valued.

Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs)

We conduct thorough, respectful, and compassionate Functional Behaviour Assessments to understand the why behind behaviours of concern. Looking beyond surface-level behaviours, we explore the individual’s strengths, communication needs, lived experiences, environments, and support systems.

This holistic understanding allows us to identify meaningful patterns and contributing factors, and to develop clear, practical recommendations that support positive behaviour change, improved wellbeing, and a better quality of everyday life.

Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans

We develop individualised Behaviour Support Plans that are strengths-based, participant-centred, and fully aligned with NDIS requirements. Our plans are informed by comprehensive assessment and collaboration with participants, families, and support networks.

Each plan focuses on proactive, skill-building strategies that reduce the need for restrictive practices while supporting emotional regulation, independence, and sustainable long-term outcomes that reflect the participant’s goals and values.

We provide ethical, rights-focused Behaviour Support that prioritises dignity, autonomy, and human rights. Where restrictive practices are in place, we work collaboratively to carefully review, minimise, and reduce their use in line with NDIS legislation and best practice.

Capacity Building and Emotional Regulation Support

We support participants to build everyday life skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop personalised strategies to manage distress and big emotions in safe and empowering ways. Our approach focuses on building confidence, resilience, and self-awareness over time.

By supporting participants to better understand their emotions and responses, we help create a foundation for increased independence, stronger relationships, and meaningful participation in daily life and community settings.

Training for Support Staff and Carers

We offer tailored training, coaching, and one-on-one sessions for families, carers, and support staff to build confidence, consistency, and capability in supporting positive behaviour. Training is practical, accessible, and grounded in trauma-informed and strengths-based principles.

Our goal is to equip support networks with the knowledge and tools needed to respond safely and compassionately, creating supportive environments where participants feel understood, respected, and able to thrive.

Behavioural Needs Assessments

We deliver high-quality Behavioural Needs Assessment reports that are clinically sound, strengths-based, and person-centred. Each assessment is grounded in a thorough understanding of the participant’s unique needs, environment, support context, and personal goals.

Reports provide clear, practical, and evidence-informed recommendations that guide effective support planning, promote positive behaviour change, and support meaningful, lasting outcomes for participants and their support networks.

The Ladybug Journal - Our Blog Posts

Real Stories of Transformation

We've been receiving support for over a year now, and we can honestly say our family wouldn’t be as functional and healthy without it. With three high-needs children, all with behavioural and ASD-related challenges, we’ve engaged with many services, but none have offered the level of care, compassion, and respect that we’ve experienced here.

J.L. - Family Member

During a training session at one of our supported independent living homes, the Behaviour Support Practitioner was working through key strategies from the Behaviour Support Plan with staff members while the participant rested nearby. Unexpectedly, the participant chose to join the session, actively participating in the discussion and offering thoughtful feedback. They shared their appreciation for the collaborative efforts of the team and expressed genuine gratitude, offering a heartfelt "thank you" that highlighted the importance of teamwork and collaboration in creating meaningful outcomes.

NDC - Everyday Support

Our Behaviour Support Practitioner truly took the time to understand our family and our child’s needs. Their approach was thoughtful, respectful, and practical, and we’ve seen real, positive change as a result. We feel supported, heard, and confident moving forward.”
